Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
Orana – Welcome to Chester Hill Public School!
At Chester Hill Public School, we believe that every child can succeed when they feel safe, supported, and encouraged. Our school is a place where students grow in confidence, develop new skills, and build strong friendships. We have high expectations for learning and behaviour, and we work closely with families to help every student do their best.
Our dedicated, friendly, and highly skilled teachers and staff are committed to providing the best possible education for our students. They create engaging lessons, set high expectations, and support every child to achieve strong academic outcomes. With a focus on the explicit teaching of literacy and numeracy, our staff ensure that students develop the skills and knowledge they need for future success. We differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners and also prioritise student wellbeing, helping children to build resilience, confidence, and a love of learning.
We are proud of our diverse and multicultural community, where many languages and cultures come together. We celebrate this diversity and make sure every family feels welcome and included. Our Community Hub helps families by offering skill development programs, connections to local services, and opportunities to meet other parents. The Hub supports families in preparing for work and building strong community connections.
At Chester Hill Public School, we know that many families need support with before and after-school care. We partner with the Chester Hill Neighbourhood Centre to provide safe, high-quality care onsite before and after school, as well as during school holidays. This service helps parents manage work and family life while ensuring students are cared for in a fun and supportive environment.
Our school also offers many co-curricular activities to help students discover their interests and talents, including sports, debating, public speaking, art, and maths competitions. We believe that learning happens everywhere – in the classroom, on the playground, and through teamwork and creativity.
We look forward to working with you to support your child’s learning and future success. We invite you to visit our school, meet our friendly staff, and become part of our wonderful community.
Orana – We welcome you!
