Canteen
The canteen is run by the CHPS Parents & Citizens Association.
Whilst the canteen is managed and run by paid staff, volunteers from our wonderful community also assist with the everyday running of the canteen. Without our volunteers, the canteen would be impossible to operate.
Canteen Operating Hours
Our canteen is open Monday to Friday, during term time from 8:30am-2:00pm, serving recess and lunch.
Canteen Menu
Our canteen is an accredited “Healthy School Canteen”. We serve a variety of hot meals, sandwiches, salads and snacks made onsite daily.
The canteen caters to special dietary needs including vegetarian, gluten free options and halal items.

Lunch Ordering
The easiest way to make a student lunch order is online using Munch Monitor. Instructions on how to setup and use Munch Monitor are below.
Lunch orders can also be made over the counter from 8:30am
Online orders must be in by 9:30am each morning, or 8:55am if in person.
Canteen Volunteering
We are always on the lookout for canteen helpers. Volunteering in the canteen is an excellent way of getting to know parents, teachers and the school environment. Children are delighted to see their parent of relative volunteering at the school. It’s also a great place to build on your skills.
Tasks you may do:
- Serving students and staff at recess and lunch
- Preparation of sandwiches and salads
- Labelling and sorting lunch bags
- Packaging hot foods
- Restocking fridges and freezers
- Adhering to the policies of the Canteen, including work health and safety and food safety and hygiene handling procedures.
